Professor Katrina Bramstedt is a transplant ethicist with the Cedars Sinai Kidney Transplant Team (Los Angeles, USA), Adjunct Professor at the medical school of Bond University in Queensland Australia, and Chief Executive of the Luxembourg Agency for Research Integrity. She has worked in the field of donation and transplant for nearly 20 years, with a focus on both living donation and VCA.
Prof Bramstedt is the author of 100+ peer-reviewed journal articles, and several book chapters and books, including The Organ Donor Experience: Good Samaritans and the Meaning of Altruism (2011). She has performed 1000+ ethics consults and reviewed 2500+ research protocols for IRBs/RECs. Her awards include Outstanding Achievement Award (Philips Research, 2017); Australian Award for University Teaching 2015, Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning [Commonwealth award]; and a Vice Chancellor’s Award for Teaching Excellence/Bond University, 2014.
